Colombia's National Armed Forces Project

This project was developed during a 9-month period in 2013, and consisted in the construction of a military ethics manual that included principles and values for the National Armed forces along with the construction of an entire Andragogic structure for teaching this manual, including  reflexive, amusing and participatory activities. The manual includes basic ethical and moral concepts of the theory of the moral conscience of Laurence Kohlberg, which allows participants to reflect on their own ethical decisions and motivate them to continue advancing these levels. It presents a model for the Colombian National Armed Forces  defined by the constitutional rule of law and democratic, pluralistic and multicultural society framework. Within this framework were developed the concepts of moral maximum, ethical minimum, public ethics, applied public ethics, deontological ethics for the military profession, principles, values and virtues that the National Armed Forces in Colombia promulgates for its staff and their institution.

A validation process of all adult education teaching methodology and different workshop models of 1, 2 and 4 days were performed in the cities of Bogota, Cartagena, Barranquilla and Covenas. In these workshops 25 to 40 people participated from different degrees of commissioned officers and sub-officers of the Armed Forces as well as marine infantry personnel.
