CAI is known for its dynamic, interactive, competency-based, and skills-based training programs. CAI trainers are culturally diverse, front-line experts from a range of disciplines, including medicine, nursing, mental health, social work, and community organizing.
Through the AETC, CAI offered a range of programs for HIV and primary care providers and clinic staff:
- Learning Community (based on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement model)
- In-person Lecture Series
- Technical Assistance for Quality Improvement
- Clinical Preceptorships
CAI served as the quality improvement coach at two NYC Health and Hospitals facilities through the Practice Transformation Project of the AETC, helping each clinic improve on key performance metrics related to reaching the National HIV/AIDS Strategy Care Continuum goals.
