Peer Leadership||Peer Integration

Peers have a unique and vital role to play in performing needs assessments; developing and designing programs; leading, implementing and delivering health programs; and supporting quality management and outcomes evaluation. Peer involvement may be especially valuable in resource-limited settings, where peers help expand programs' ability to reach target populations, overcome barriers to access, increase user-friendliness of services, build trust between staff and clients, and provide ongoing feedback on how the program is performing. In recognition of the enormous value of peer engagement, CAI seeks to integrate peers and peer-led activities into program and training designs when and wherever possible.
