Our Project Team

CAI has assembled a team of senior training faculty, content experts and program staff to support the Behavioral Health Education Training and Technical Assistance Center. To learn more about the project team, view their bios below.

Gricel N. Arredondo

Gricel Arredondo serves as the Director of The Center for Evidence Based Interventions at Cicatelli Associates Inc. Ms. Arredondo is an international trainer, with expertise in behavioral health and evidence-based interventions. She has over 25 years experience in public health, providing training, technical assistance, curricula development and direct services. She has 10 years experience in the HIV/AIDS behavioral intervention research field focusing on the development of effective behavioral intervention and has been involved in various aspects with interventions currently listed in the CDC Dissemination of Effective Behavioral Interventions and The Compendium of Effective Science-based Interventions. She will be involved in curriculum design and provide training in this initiative.

Rusty Chambliss

Rusty Chambliss is the Vice President and Director of Training at CAI, where he oversees and supervises the content and quality of all training provided. Mr. Chambliss' dynamic approaches to training, human resource development and professional expertise have won him national acclaim and recognition as a leader in the field of professional training. In addition to supervising training and insuring quality in CAI's training delivery, Mr. Chambliss also provides technical assistance to health and human service agencies and develops innovative curriculum and materials in newly emerging fields. He will be training, providing technical assistance, and involved in curriculum design in this initiative.

Ida Colon

Ida Colon has worked for CAI for the past 13 years. She has provided administrative support, such as registration and marketing for trainings, for CAI's HIV/AIDS training programs for the past four years. Ms. Colon will serve as the administrative support on this initiative.

John Hatchett

John Hatchett has worked in HIV/AIDS for over 25 years, including various leadership positions at the PWA Coalition of New York (1989-1996), where he served as Executive Director from 1993 to 1996. In 1997, Mr. Hatchett helped develop, design and launch New York State's PWA Leadership Training Institute (LTI), for which he served as Project Director until 2011. He is currently the Vice President for Peer Programs at Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI), and will be the Technical Assistance Advisor on this initiative.

Neel Pandya

Neel Pandya has been working in the field of public health for over 10 years.  Her areas of expertise include domestic violence prevention, adolescent sexual health, and tobacco dependence treatment and control.  Ms. Pandya provides training, technical assistance, and program management at CAI.  She will serve as the Project Director for this initiative.

Billy Sherrod

Billy Sherrod has been working in the field of HIV/AIDS for over 20 years. His areas of expertise include PLWHA who have substance use issues. Mr. Sherrod will be training and providing technical assistance on this initiative, and working with Behavioral Health Educators to educate, link and retain PLWHA in care.
