Communications Associate

CAI (Cicatelli Associates Inc.) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time entry-level position of Communications Associate for its office in New York City. The Communications Associate is an integral member of the Communications Department of CAI and reports directly to the Communications Director.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft and edit content for CAI's regional, national and international websites, newsroom, and social media platforms
  • Prepare press releases, with the approval of the Communications Director
  • Assist in the implementation of the social media communications plan
  • Assist in the brand and strategy development for all CAI projects
  • Support online learning strategy and storyboard development
  • Support CAI's public relations efforts and marketing and communications plans with KPIs for key initiatives and multi-year project specific campaigns
  • Utilize different marketing and design software (e.g. Joomla, Get Response, Vocus, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary/required to meet the mission of the organization
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate production of email blasts and work with designer to develop collateral materials
  • Assist in monitor creative development for consistency with brand strategy and standards

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS & OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Graduated (Bachelors or Masters) in English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or equivalent from an accredited institution

PREFERRED SKILLS: 

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Social media experience
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse staff and representatives of external agencies
  • Basic HTML and web design knowledge
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, follow directions and also be entrepreneurial in finding solutions
