CAI leverages its broad perspective, expertise and understanding of how large and small organizations operate to manage grants programs, addressing the needs and funding priorities of the grant funders. With our extensive background in community-based health programs, CAI's grant management work also focuses on the needs and perspectives of potential grantees. We rigorously manage the fiduciary and contractual aspects of grant programs and provide capacity-building support to ensure that grantees are better able to serve their clients and meet grant objectives and deliverables.
Since 2000, CAI has managed the Avon Breast Health Outreach Program for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. From 2000-2017, CAI distributed almost $79 million in grants to over 1,800 community-based programs that provide outreach, education and patient navigation of underserved women into breast cancer screening.
Through performance-based contracting and data management, CAI clearly communicates program expectations to all partners, helps solve problems, and provides ongoing feedback, technical support and coaching. We view the relationship between the grantor and grantees as a supportive partnership. This collaborative approach results in strong and collegial working relationships with grantees and has contributed to our excellent track record in meeting ambitious project goals.
