One in four women in the U.S. will become a victim of abuse or partner violence in her life. Teens and young women experience the highest rates of relationship violence and partner abuse. To help end this devastating cycle, the Avon Foundation for Women launched Speak Out Against Domestic Violence in 2004 to build awareness, to educate, and to develop and implement prevention and direct service programs. The program funded the work of U.S. based agencies, or in selected cases, the global programs of U.S. non-profits working to prevent domestic violence. Through the end of 2011, in the U.S. alone, the program has provided more than $28 million for the domestic violence cause.
CAI has had a long partnership with the Avon Foundation for Women. In 2011, the Avon Foundation asked CAI to design and manage their data reporting system for the Avon Domestic Violence grantees. CAI was proud to be the data manager for the Avon Domestic Violence program. CAI designed and oversaw the data collection and reporting from the Avon Domestic Violence grantees and provided summary data reports to the Avon Foundation for Women.
