Animated Video Production Associate

CAI is one of the country’s leading organizations that builds the capacity of the public health workforce through research, training, and technical assistance. CAI produces live and animated videos as educational tools to support these capacity-building activities. We are seeking an Animated Video Production Associate to help us keep up with the high demand of animated video requests we are receiving from funders (e.g. CDC, HRSA, State Health Departments, etc.). General statement of responsibilities

The Animated Video Production Associate will work closely with project teams and the curriculum development team, writing scripts, storyboarding, and producing animated videos in the Vyond software. This position requires someone who is creative, a strong writer, highly organized and responsive with strong project management skills and attention to detail.  

Major tasks and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

Work closely with CAI staff to develop animated Vyond videos across all projects at CAI, including:  

  • Working with project teams, content experts, and the curriculum development team to write scripts and develop storyboards for animated videos 
  • Ensuring scripts and storyboards undergo review and approval from appropriate staff (project teams, content experts, funders, senior administrators)  
  • Integrating feedback from appropriate staff (project teams, content experts, funders, senior administrators) into scripts and storyboards  
  • Identifying voiceover talent from CAI-approved sources for videos, as required 
  • Working with internal CAI staff to obtain voiceovers for videos, as required  
  • Producing animated videos using Vyond software using approved scripts/storyboards 
  • Ensuring animated videos undergo review and approval from appropriate staff (project teams, content experts, funders, senior administrators)  
  • Coordinating, preparing for, and participating in animated video production meetings, including initial and regular follow-up meetings to discuss video development details (e.g. planning, next steps, roles/responsibilities, timelines)   
  • Working with project teams to provide leadership and guidance on the animated video development process, timelines, scripting/storyboarding recommendations, and selecting voiceover artists 
  • Monitoring and tracking past and current Vyond videos developed for CAI  
  • Supporting CAI staff with the development of other videos that may be required (e.g. live videos, pre-recorded Zoom video to be shown during a training) 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Minimum education, experience, and other required skills

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1+ years proven experience developing Vyond videos  
  • Knowledge of Vyond, Microsoft Office, and Zoom 
  • Interest in learning about video production, public health, and adult learning

While performing the Animated Video Production Associate responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and hear.  The employee is often required to sit and work at a desk for prolonged periods of time and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $55,000- $65,000. CAI offers a generous benefits package including:
