Merck & Co., Inc. is launching Strengthening the Capacity and Resilience of U.S. HIV Organizations, a new initiative to help non–profit HIV organizations adapt, innovate and thrive in the face of a shifting landscape that challenges their ability to sustain impact. Grants for the program will range from $100,000–$150,000 for the period of February 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027.
This funding opportunity recognizes the important role of community-based and social service organizations as the backbone of the HIV response. For decades, these organizations have been on the frontlines—building trust, reducing stigma, and ensuring equitable access to care in the communities most affected by HIV.
This funding opportunity is best suited for HIV service organizations that, throughout 2025, have been engaged in ongoing efforts to identify and assess the impact of organizational changes, recognize emerging needs, and explore potential solutions for adapting to the evolving service landscape. The funds are intended to serve as a catalyst for implementing these adaptive strategies and for advancing the organization’s plans for long-term sustainability and resilience.
