Improving Health Equity and Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes (MIH) project

The “Improving Health Equity and Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes” (MIH) project, funded by the NYC DOHMH, brings together 22 agencies across New York City in a collaborative learning  process to deliver intensive interventions to neighborhoods with the greatest disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes. The project has been funded for 3 years, over which time the agencies will attend numerous collaborative learning events and support one another in implementing their interventions. CAI is tasked with providing training and technical assistance to participating agencies around implementation of best practices in 5 topic areas:

  • Safe Sleep
  • Breastfeeding 
  • Women’s health
  • Family planning
  • Toxic stress and trauma
