Clinical Continuing Education Coordinator

CAI is seeking a highly motivated professional for the full-time position of Clinical Education Coordinator. The Clinical Education Coordinator manages the provision of clinical continuing education credits at CAI training programs. CAI is an approved provider of continuing nursing, medical and social work education. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring adherence to documentation and reporting requirements for all accredited training programs at CAI. They will report to the Director of Nursing Education. (The preference is for this position to be based in CAI’s NYC office, but we will consider remote candidates.) 

This position is suited for candidates skilled or interested in project management and quality improvement in a fast-moving organization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects addressing health disparities in HIV, reproductive health, substance use disorders and other public health issues through effective clinical education.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all organizational procedures for providing clinical continuing education (CE) credits for CAI training programs, including:

  • Educating CAI project teams on–and ensuring adherence to–CE requirements, including timely submission of required documentation and review of marketing and educational materials
  • Liaising with faculty and curriculum developers, Communications, LMS, IT, and Evaluation teams to ensure CAI training programs adhere to requirements of the CME/CNE/CSWE accreditation agencies
  • Preparing and disseminating required forms, post-tests and certificates to training teams and participants
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records and entering program data into the organizational database
  • Administering, analyzing and reporting data from 3-month post-training surveys
  • Preparing and submitting annual reports and 3-year re-accreditation applications
  • Coordinating invoicing and finance-related activities for the Clinical Division
  • Planning and facilitating monthly Clinical Division meetings; coordinating review of CE requests and training curricula by clinical reviewers; identifying opportunities to streamline and improve CE processes
  • Managing CE provision for training programs outside of CAI and attending events as CE monitor as needed
  • Serving as the CAI expert on national CE accreditation requirements, attending accreditation agency meetings and updating processes and documentation accordingly
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelors required; Masters degree in a health or clinical sciences degree preferred
  • Three or more years in project coordination of health programs; experience in clinical education preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of public health and medical terminology and measuring/evaluating learning outcomes
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, learning management systems, video conferencing, survey software and databases
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment
